To start, I'll begin with saying that Sophomore year is the beginning of what I like to call "the questions period". What do I mean by this?
"Have you started looking at colleges?"
"Do you know what you'll major in?"
"How are you going to pay for school?"
"Will you stay at home or go away?"
It's understandable that people start to wonder, but as a Sophomore it becomes a tad overwhelming. Once you get these questions, you start to think about them yourself. Especially if you're like me and have absolutely no clue what you want. I'm sure everyone's gone through this point in their life: when the future seems like it's coming so fast and you're still stuck in the past.
Besides the whole college point of it, I've started worrying more about grades and how my grades will affect my chances of getting into college. So I took a bit of a hiatus from this blog to focus on grades which I feel is completely understandable for anyone to do. In that time period I did turn sixteen.
I had the whole "sixteen candles" thing going on. It wasn't that much of a big deal, except where I live I can now get my permit (for driving). All in all, my Sophomore year has come to a close. Summer is here which means more time to blog and be the sixteen year old I now am. I'm excited for Junior year despite the new stresses it will bring me. I'm also excited for college despite not quite knowing what I'm going to do. I'm excited to be growing up and adding years onto my age despite the thought of the future being scary. But I'm most excited for summer, and living the present.
